This October, the TwinEU project made an appearance at ENLIT Europe, one of the continent’s premier conferences and exhibitions in the smart energy sector. From October 22-24, 2024, TwinEU featured prominently at the event held in Milan, Italy, with a dedicated booth in the EU project zone.
ENLIT Europe has served as a critical platform for discussing research, development, and innovation across the European energy landscape, attracting industry experts, policymakers, and technologists. TwinEU’s participation underscored its commitment to driving forward the digital transformation of Europe’s electricity systems through the innovative use of digital twins.
Visitors to the TwinEU booth had the opportunity to engage directly with project partners and learn about the development of a pan-European digital twin. This initiative aims to enhance grid management, improve energy distribution efficiencies, and introduce new capabilities for real-time system monitoring and decision-making.
In addition to its booth presence, TwinEU also contributed to the conference’s hub sessions. Key presentations included:
- 23 October – Energy Data Spaces (EU project zone)
9:30 – 11:00 AM
Ferdinando Bosco | Engineering - 23 October – Digital Twin in the Industrial Metaverse
2:00 – 3:30 PM
Antonello Monti | Fraunhofer FIT/RWTH Aachen
These sessions explored the application of digital twins in the energy sector and their integration within industrial metaverse frameworks, highlighting the project’s cutting-edge approaches to data management and system integration.
