Overall 10 Key Exploitable Results of the TwinEU project were selected by the European Commission’s Innovation Radar, providing a factsheet of each of them potentially to other innovators, funders and players of the industry. The published articles include many of the core TwinEU products, besides exploitable results from the Bulgarian, Hungarian, Spanish, Portuguese and German demo sites.
The Innovation Radar is a European Commission initiative to identify high potential innovations and innovators in EU-funded research and innovation projects. The publication of the factsheets provides visibility to the outcomes of high-quality projects from throughout the Horizon-program.
Regarding TwinEU, these 10 Key Exploitable Results were selected by the experts of the platform:
- Application of optimization techniques for connecting renewable sources to the grid (Bulgaria)
- Co-optimized electricity market clearing algorithm integrating dynamic line rating for enhanced capacity allocation in short-term power exchanges (Hungary)
- DT collaboration for increased RES penetration in distribution systems (Spain)
- Synthetic renewable data generation (Spain)
- Interoperable data exchange between TSO & DSO via a data space connector (Germany)
- Use of DTs for cross-border probabilistic capacity allocation and assessment of flexibility and pre-qualification (Portugal)
- TwinEU DSP Connector (core TwinEU)
- TwinEU DT Federator component (core TwinEU)
- TwinEU Middleware for interoperability in Federated Energy Digital Twins (core TwinEU)
- TwinEU Open Reference architecture for a federated pan-European Digital Twin (core TwinEU)

Each factsheet contains a short description, an analysis of the maturity and their market creation potential with notes on further needs to reach the market. Furthermore, the publications categorize the innovations using the UN’s 17 Sustainable Development Goals.
